Congratulations, Class of 2019
A message from your Class Guardians
Dear Class of 2019
Just the other day you were starting out in high school and now you have reached the final year and it is time to say goodbye. Some students, especially those who have been at Michael Mount for many years, may have found the matric year, with its emphasis on academic challenges, time-schedules, endless projects and due dates, a huge change to the rhythm of the Waldorf curriculum, but, at the same time, the matric year offered new ventures and opportunities.
For us, as your class guardians this year, it was a privilege to assist you individually to put things in perspective when the pressures became overwhelming. It was heart-warming for us when you achieved your goals and accomplished the difficult tasks given to you and it was gratifying to celebrate with you, the moment you were accepted at the tertiary institutions of your choice in order to pursue your chosen career.
Thank you for rising to the challenges that you encountered. Thank you for making us proud as teachers at Michael Mount Waldorf School.
We wish you well for the future,

Meneer

We are proud of all our students who also achieved distinctions.
Michael Mount offers much more than a good matric. Our unique Waldorf curriculum allows each pupil to develop as an individual. We see it in action when we review our matric results every year. We are very proud of all our students for their academic achievements but more than that we know that, in the words of Rudolf Steiner, they leave our school “[as] free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives”.
Congratulations, dear Class of 2019! We wish you everything of the best as you go forward in life.
