Little is guaranteed in our world today. However, what is guaranteed is that we live in a fast-paced, ever-changing society, and in quite uncertain times.

There are many discussions being had, questioning whether today’s schooling prepares children for the future needs of our society. We are told that the majority of the workforce will have to be re-trained by 2030. We also know that most school and tertiary education assignments can easily be completed using Artificial Intelligence (AI). Assessment practices and teaching and learning methods are needing to evolve and adapt. In this space, it is the human competencies that are becoming the valuable resources needed for the future.

Some of the vital competencies which will be sought-after in the future include: a sense of imagination, intuition, social intelligence, adaptability, consciousness, independent thinking and idealism. We are seeing an increasing need for the ability to be resilient and independent; to be (or think like) entrepreneurs.

Conscious thinking

This is what sets Waldorf education apart. It is these skills in particular that are developed in our dynamic curriculum. Our children are well-placed to enter this world. Everything we do in our curriculum is conscious. We nurture our children to become well-rounded, soundly equipped human beings – you have chosen an education system for your child that has over 100 years of success.

Waldorf education fosters a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom, preparing children to approach the unknown with confidence and curiosity. Through artistic expression, hands-on experiences, and an integrated approach to knowledge, students develop the ability to think creatively and critically – skills that are indispensable in a rapidly evolving world.

Dear parents, you will be part of this journey and will witness the unfolding potential of your child. In the process, you may also find yourself growing alongside them, discovering new ways of seeing the world and embracing the lifelong learning that Waldorf education inspires.
